The pre-order dates for the iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro have just been revealed. This is when iFans can finally get their hands on them.
Apple's September event this year is undoubtedly the company's biggest yet, as it prepares to launch its first foldable phone. And now, we have pretty clear information about the event date and when pre-orders will begin.

According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, Apple's event will see the launch of a range of new products, from the iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. We might even see the appearance of a new Apple TV and HomePod mini. However, the pre-order process for the new iPhones this year may change.
Apple's September event dates
According to Gurman, Apple's September event will take place in the second week of September, most likely on Wednesday, September 9th.
This year, Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7th. Holding the event while people are traveling during a national holiday is impractical, so Apple's decision to move the event to midweek was a wise one.

This will be the first event hosted by the new CEO, John Ternus, and the most anticipated product is the iPhone Ultra (also known as the iPhone Fold). This will be Apple's foldable phone. According to rumors, the device is expected to have a short and wide design, similar to a passport, and comparable to the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
The iPhone Ultra's outer screen will be 5.4-5.5 inches, while the inner screen will be 7.8 inches. This foldable iPhone will feature a dual 48MP camera system on the back (without a telephoto lens), Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and a large 4,883 mAh battery.
The iPhone Fold will also completely eliminate the screen crease.
Pre-order dates and expected release dates for the iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro.
Normally, the pre-order date for new iPhones is the Friday following Apple's September event; however, this year that date falls on September 11th. Because this also marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, Gurman reports that Apple will move the pre-order date for the iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro to Saturday, September 12th.
If this information is accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Ultra will most likely go on sale on Friday (September 18th) or Saturday (September 19th).

However, there's also a possibility that the iPhone Ultra's release date will be pushed back to October due to potential production delays. Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will continue to be released as usual.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are rumored to feature a camera with variable aperture (allowing for better control over depth of field), a more powerful A20 chip, a new dark cherry red color option, a smaller Dynamic Island area, and a larger battery capacity.
