Its ability to retain its value and enduring appeal helps the iPhone 17 Pro Max continue to lead sales in the premium segment in Vietnam.
Nearly a year after its launch, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has only dropped about 5% from its listed price, yet still maintains stable sales in the Vietnamese market. Notably, the product officially went on sale in September 2025 and is now entering the final stage of its lifecycle, preparing to make way for the iPhone 18 Pro series.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently priced approximately 5% lower than its original price.
According to reports, compared to previous iPhone models, the price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max has remained stable, with almost no significant fluctuations since its launch. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max once dropped to 29 million VND for the 256GB version, equivalent to a 15% reduction from the listed price.
Currently, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is being offered by retailers at a price of 36 million VND for the 256GB version, only a 5% discount from the listed price. According to information from a retailer in Vietnam, the reason why the price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max has not been significantly adjusted is due to several factors, including fluctuations in the cost of components such as RAM and processors. This is why Apple has made almost no moves regarding the pricing policy of this older generation of products recently.
According to retailers, iPhone 17 Pro Max sales remain stable, showing no decline compared to its predecessor, despite the price remaining virtually unchanged. Another retailer stated that iPhone 17 Pro Max sales haven't fluctuated much, as demand for high-end products remains strong, even without a price reduction.

The product is still highly rated for many of its functions.
Notably, the iPhone Air saw the biggest price drop among the 2025 iPhone models , with its price at one point falling by as much as 10 million VND from its launch price of 32 million VND. Retail prices were around 23 million VND, but buyers could find even lower prices, around 22 million VND, on e-commerce platforms.
In the high-end segment, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently competing with products such as the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Pro, and vivo X300 Pro. However, statistics from retailers show that the iPhone 17 Pro Max dominates this segment.
Vietnamese consumers' purchasing trends remain similar to previous years, with 256GB and 512GB memory versions being popular due to their accessible price points.

Several factors contribute to the continued appeal of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, even though its price hasn't dropped significantly.
It's worth noting that in the initial sales phase, the iPhone 17 Pro Max experienced a significant surge in sales. However, overall over nearly a year, sales have remained almost unchanged compared to its predecessor. Price still influences purchasing decisions, but it's not the only factor. Users are also interested in features, camera system, performance, battery life, and long-term usability.
